Time to return home…

After many long months of writing and re-writing, recording various actors, editing, mixing, and making sure it is just right, I am happy to finally reveal Return Home to the world.

So, what is Return Home?

It is the story of Jonathan Barker, who returns to his home of Melancholy Falls, NJ, after five years away. An unknown entity beckons him back East, in order to unravel the mystery of what his home town has become…or has always been. Reunited with his best friend, Buddy, Jonathan must discover the secrets of Melancholy Falls, and why he was told to return home.

And how will you, the listener, be able to hear this story unfold?

Well, remember radio dramas from years ago, such as The Shadow, Flash Gordon, The War of the Worlds? Much like that, Return Home is a serialized audio drama, brought to life with actors, sound effects, original music, and more. Every episode will be a story unto itself, telling a complete tale, and contributing to the overarching mythology of the larger tale. Each episode will be split into parts, releasing once a week, until it is complete. Sometimes a new episode will begin immediately when all the parts of the previous are out. Sometimes there will be a short break. It really depends on our production schedule.

I’ve spent months assembling a team of talented individuals together in order to make this a reality. From my long-time friend and collaborator Andrew Taylor to gifted musical composer Kori Celeste to a host of talented actors & actresses, they have all helped Return Home take shape.

The show is fully produced, in stereo sound, to make you feel like you are part of the action. Though you can listen however you’d like, it’s recommended you do so with headphones. Alone. In a darkened room.

While it can be frightening at times, it will also make you laugh. We’ve worked hard to maintain that line, so people of all ages can enjoy it.

And now, after many months of preparation, Jonathan Barker’s tale is about to begin.

The first episode will officially begin on March 1st, 2016. The show will be released via iTunes, Stitcher, and more, including right here on this site.

We’re excited to share this journey with you, dear listeners.

And we hope you enjoy the ride. We’re so glad you’re here to take it with us.

But isn’t it time for you to return home?
